We offer in-person counselling in White Rock and Langley, as well as virtual counselling across British Columbia.
All sessions are private and confidential.
When life feels overwhelming, counselling can help you slow down, understand what’s happening, and move forward with greater balance and confidence. Our approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to your unique needs—meeting you where you are and supporting meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Life can feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming at times. Individual therapy at Lounge of Hope gives you a safe, confidential space to slow down, make sense of what you’re going through, and find practical ways to move forward.
Relationships can be a source of deep support—and deep pain. If you’re feeling disconnected, stuck in recurring conflict, rebuilding after a betrayal, or simply wanting to strengthen your connection, couples therapy can help.
Sometimes the most powerful healing happens when you realize you’re not alone. Group therapy at Lounge of Hope brings together people who are facing similar struggles in a supportive, facilitated setting.
Seeking counselling as a man can feel difficult. Expectations, stigma, and fear of judgment often prevent men from reaching out — even when things feel overwhelming. At Lounge of Hope Counselling, men are offered a respectful, confidential, and non-judgmental space to speak openly and be heard.
Addiction counselling supports individuals navigating substance use or compulsive behaviors, often connected to stress, trauma, or emotional pain.
Discovering or recovering from an affair can feel destabilizing and painful. You may feel overwhelmed, hurt, angry, or unsure what comes next. Affair recovery counselling provides structured, compassionate support to help individuals and couples regain emotional stability and clarity.
Sexual challenges are common for individuals and couples. We know that discussing sex can feel uncomfortable or even stigmatized, and reaching out for help is often a difficult first step.

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Hi, I’m Akash, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC, BCACC) and the founder of Lounge of Hope Counselling & Wellness Centre.
My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. Through my background in counselling psychology and years of working with individuals, couples, and groups, I’ve developed a deep respect for human struggle and the resilience that emerges when people feel truly supported.
I approach therapy with genuine empathy rooted in human connection, supporting clients through challenges such as trauma, stress, addiction, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I believe deeply in each person’s capacity for growth and have witnessed meaningful healing take place within safe, therapeutic relationships.
My approach is client-centered and tailored to each individual. While I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and the Gottman Method, narrative therapy is central to my work — helping clients explore, reshape, and reclaim the stories that shape their lives.
I bring nearly a decade of experience across hospitals, schools, community programs, and private practice, offering individual, couples, and group therapy, including online anger management groups for men.
